Dear Students,

To clarify the situation regarding South Chelsea College:

  • South Chelsea College is still an A-rated sponsor, and our licence hasn’t been revoked. We are still in discussions with the UKBA, but no decisions have yet been made.
  • The new term for ABE students has already begun and runs through 25 May.
  • Classes are taking place Monday through Friday at our Tunstall Road campus.
  • All current timetables are attached to this email.
  • Attendance is being taken for every class and all absences are being recorded on our system, the same as during any other term. We will report to the UKBA at the end of the term.
  • Make sure your payments are up to date. If you need to arrange payment, please see Madonna or Ania at the Tunstall Road campus.

Level 4 ABE
Your timetable and teacher have changed.
Please attend Business Management in Room D with Bolaji Omotade.
Class begins at 10:00am every day except Thursday (11:00am) and Friday (9:30am).

Levels 5 & 6 ABE
Please attend your class in Room A with John Wainwright.
Class begins at 9:30am every day, Monday through Friday.

BCS
Your registration and enrolment details remain with South Chelsea College.

Please follow your normal activities until and unless either the college or UKBA notify you differently.

Do not transfer your enrolment as this will affect your CAS number and/or the period of time you have in which to make any changes that may be required.

New Students
A special I.T. elective course has started which all new students are expected to attend.
Class begins at 10:00am Monday-Thursday in room C with Mr. Matthew.

Reporting to the UKBA
As your sponsor, we are required to report to the UKBA those students who:

      1. Failed to attend any classes
      2. Had poor attendance
      3. Failed to pay the school fees and register for the new term

How could this affect you?
The direct consequence of being reported to the UKBA for any of the above reasons is termination of your Visa.
Also, this information stays on your record with the Home Office and it may jeopardise your future applications (for example, renewing your visa or finding another sponsor).

Thank you very much for your patience, understanding and cooperation throughout this challenging time. Please be assured that we are all working very hard to resolve this situation as quickly as possible.

If you have any questions, comments or need clarification on any of the above points, please contact us or visit the Tunstall Road campus to speak with a staff member.

Sincerely,

Charles Heil
